💛 Meet Lori J. Isenstadt, IBCLC

Hello, I’m Lori — a passionate lactation consultant, educator, and longtime supporter of new families as they begin their breastfeeding journey. I’ve spent decades helping parents feel empowered, supported, and informed through every stage of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

💬 The 3 Most Common Questions I’m Asked

Do you have grandchildren?

Not yet! I have three adult children: Alisha and Carly (both married and thriving in their careers), and Jesse, a physician in Washington state. They’re living life on their own terms—and I’m so proud of each of them.

How did you become a lactation consultant?

It started with my own birth and breastfeeding experiences, which were far from ideal. That led me down a path of education, growth, and eventually a passion to help others. I became a childbirth educator, doula, and ultimately trained under a brilliant mentor to become an IBCLC.

How many families have you worked with?

Over 10 years ago, I counted more than 20,000 families helped through private lactation consults. That number has only grown, though I stopped counting long ago. Let’s just say—I’ve had the honor of supporting a whole lot of moms and babies.

💛 My Professional Journey

After the birth of my first child, I wanted more for myself—and for others. I became a certified childbirth educator and doula, teaching classes and supporting families at home, hospital, and birthing center settings.

After moving to Arizona, I was lucky to meet Bonnie Jones, IBCLC, a mentor who shaped my path into lactation work. Under her guidance, I gained two years of hands-on experience before becoming board certified. Since then, I’ve recertified every five years and continually invest in my education and clinical growth.

💛 Building All About Breastfeeding

In 2007, I founded All About Breastfeeding, my private practice. Since then, I’ve dedicated every working day to helping families overcome breastfeeding challenges—from sore nipples to low supply, tongue-tie to bottle feeding struggles, return-to-work plans to newborn latching.

I provide in-home and virtual consults, offer a comprehensive online breastfeeding class, and collaborate with pediatricians, midwives, and other health professionals across the Phoenix area to give families the best possible care.

🎙️ The All About Breastfeeding Podcast

Since 2016, I’ve hosted over 400 episodes of the All About Breastfeeding podcast. Each episode dives into real stories and expert insights—from mothers, midwives, authors, and IBCLCs. It’s a warm, supportive space for anyone seeking connection and learning.
